A wood specialist for more than 50 years, Catskill's experience with select eastern hardwoods sets it apart. The company uses only non-endangered, self-replenishing domestic species, such as hard maple and birch. This adjustable over-the-sink Cutting Board has pull-out plastic wires that adapt to fit almost any sink. It's a great help for cooks who need counter space, as it effectively turns the kitchen sink into a cutting surface. Extension wires extend an additional 3-inches.

Products offered by Catskill Craftsmen are made from naturally self-sustaining, non-endangered North American hardwoods, primarily birch and hard rock maple. Lumber is purchased from area sawmills, then dried, manufactured, and packaged on site. All sawdust, shavings and waste materials generated during the manufacturing process is converted into wood pellet fuel, and used to heat homes. Catskill Craftsmen operations generate no wood waste.

Love the convenience of this board! It's sturdy and attractive. I wash my fruits and veggies right on the board, chop them up and push the waste bits right off the edge of the board into the disposal. Clean and convenient!

I've had a heavy duty over the sink cutting board made of man made material for years and it's in bad shape; desperately needed to be replaced. I couldn't find anything comparable on multiple web sites and was so pleased when I found this one. I also like that it's natural wood, just like the counter top butcher blocks. My kitchen is so small I need something over the sink. Was afraid no one was making them anymore. Google solved my problem again when it directed me to Cooking.com.

We have an older sink and love the ability to use this to take advantage of the limited counter space we have. The older cutting board we had was failing thus we needed to update. The first thing I noticed was this needed to be sanded with fine sand paper to make it acceptable. Secondly, it needed to be conditioned with food grade mineral oil (cutting board oil). I made sure to do this before the first use and the board looks and feels great. I had to make a minor modification as the board was the correct size for my sink but the side bars made it not fit so I used my table saw to take off about 3/4" and then had to drill out the holes a little bit. Nonetheless, a perfect fit now. I certainly think it solved my issues and was a better product than those seen on Amazon. Hope this helps some people out there! Good luck!!!
