I purchased this kettle for more control for pour-over coffee. I wanted a durable and solid kettle that had a goose neck style to the spout. We use the kettle every morning, and it does its job efficiently and smoothly. Heats quickly, quietly (important at 5 am), and offers a smooth controllable pour over the coffee grounds.

What a nice water kettle! Just perfect for steeping a gallon of tea leaves for iced tea. There's a built in strainer, too. It has a beautiful finish, is well made and easy to clean. Super, indeed!

I love tea and drink it far more than water. I use luminarc quadro 2 qt, rectangular tempered glass pitchers to store the herbal teas I make in the fridge and I drink hot green and oolong tea incessently whenever I'm at home and pack it when I go out. And I hate, hate, hate the whistle. It's so interruptive. So, my requirements were: no whistle, big enough to fill a 2 qt vessel, metal with no plastic touching the water (this is why I didn't get an electric one - plastic doesn't belong in our food!), and a very sturdy build, esp the bottom and the handle. After quite a bit of research, I determined that this tea kettle was the one. We got it and we love it. It gets a lot of use and it seems quite happy about it. Also, it was $65 on Amazon, where I was looking originally. It was $40 here. Nice price. Love the product.
