This product was very easy to use. The instructions were clear and the guide for frying items were on point. The first thing I made was fish and chips. The unit operated without any spills or burnt product. The fish and chips were delicious. If you are a deep frying novice and hesitant about purchasing a deep fryer, don't be! It is very easy and now I am no longer a novice!

As with many of the other reviews, I found this unit does an excellent job as a deep fryer. I've done french fries and battered fish, everything coming out great. I've had it for about a month.

Also, had some problems with the oil filtration/storage system--some leakage on the first attempt. I put the unit on a shallow cookie sheet to contain the lost oil. No major leakage or significant loss, but still potential to make a mess. For french fries, only filtering the oil every fourth or fifth run. For battered fish, I've filtered each time due to the amount of loose batter left in the oil.

Overall, though, I'm very happy with the performance to date.

Great Home Fryer

No, it's not a commercial fryer... but it's not advertised to be one. This is an absolutely great fryer for home use. I've used several times and it works great (even made the best fried fish I've ever had). Regarding the size it was actually a little larger than I expected, but is not too big. The oil filtration feature is awesome. Obviously you should wait for the oil to cool completely and if you follow the directions you won't have any spill problems. The price was a little more than I wanted to spend, but the "drain/clean/tell you when to change the oil" feature alone will maximize the oil life/usage and save money in the end. I have nothing negative to say about this product, it does exactly as it's advertised (heats up fast, cleans up easy, etc.). Thank you T-Fal for a great product.
